$118,000 Approved for County Bike/Ped Resurfacing Posted: 2012-03-01 DPW Paves The Way for $118,000 in Bicycle and Pedestrian Pathway Improvements! Ready to ride and walk throughout the county this spring and summer? The Board of Supervisors accepted $118,000 of Transportation Development Act (TDA) grant funding to resurface some of the County’s popular bicycle and pedestrian pathways. The Department of Public Works’ (DPW) proposal for multi-use pathway paving will take place along parts of the Mill Valley-Sausalito path from Gate 6 Road to Vasco Court, portions of the Corte Madera Creek path, and Bacich School pathway. The Transportation Authority of Marin (TAM) and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) approved the funding allocation in January, in accordance with Transportation Development Act (TDA) requirements, which does not affect the County’s General Fund. Additional costs associated with the grant request will be provided by TAM. Need more info? See the full report. Press Room |
