May is National Bike Month

It’s that time again!  May is National Bike Month and several local events are in store so dig your bike out of the garage, pump up the tires, lube the chain and join in the fun.  With the great weather we've been having, it's a great time to ride for exercise, run an errand, or go to school or work.    

Bike to Work Day - Thursday, May 9This annual event is celebrated by thousands that choose to leave their cars at home and experience the joys and benefits of bicycling to work, school, and for local errands. 17 energizer stations will be set up throughout Marin.  Stations are open from 6:30-9:00 AM (Vista Point 5:30 to 9:00 AM) for participants to grab a quick bite and some cool swag.  You can find out about all the other energizer stations at:  Team Bike ChallengeThe Team Bike Challenge is back for 2013.  Get your team together now!  The Challenge begins Wednesday, May 1, and ends on Friday, May 31.  Recruit 1-5 friends to form a team and pedal to work, errands, or school.  Earn points for each day a team member rides.  Team members do not have to ride together.  The team with the most points at the end of the month wins a grand prize and more!Learn more about the Team Bike Challenge including rules, deadlines for logging your rides and mileage, and cyclist category descriptions at
