What was Way to Go?

From 2008-2010, Marin was home to Way to Go! - a program about walking, bicycling, and riding transit. Way to Go! offered great resources and fun activities, encouraging residents to get out, stretch their legs, and explore Marin without a car.

The program explored how easy it can be to leave the car at home for everyday trips, such as going to the store, post office, or bank, as well as getting to the many recreational and cultural activities in the area. Walking and bicycling are fantastic ways to experience Marin's natural beauty, as well as great ways to meet neighbors and increase physical activity.

Way to Go! staff delivered customized GoKits - packets of maps, brochures, and free gifts - to participating households. We also hosted fun guided walks and special events led by friendly, local experts.
