This summer, Sausalito is home to a new program called Way to Go! We’re helping residents get out, stretch their legs, and give walking, bicycling, and transit a try.

We’ll explore how easy it can be to leave the car at home for everyday trips, such as going to the store, post office, or bank, as well as getting to the many recreational and cultural activities available in Sausalito. Walking and bicycling are fantastic ways to experience Sausalito's natural beauty, as well as great ways to meet neighbors and increase physical activity.

We will be delivering customized packets of maps, brochures, and free gifts to homes, and hosting fun activities such as classes and guided walks and rides. Our friendly staff and volunteers will be "making the rounds" at community events all summer long to answer your questions and distribute free maps and materials. The Way to Go program is free for all Sausalito residents.

To learn more about the program, see our project fact sheet (PDF), or take a look at Frequently Asked Questions. You can also order your own customized Go Kit full of helpful information and free gifts, or check out our Event Schedule online. We hope to see you soon!

If you’d like to contact Way to Go staff, you can do so at waytogo@walkbikemarin.org or 415-419-7069.
