The Fairfax Department of Public Works has recently completed bicycle and pedestrian improvements to Sir Francis Drake Boulevard in west Fairfax.  After repaving, the road was restriped to extend existing bike lanes, as well as to add a painted buffer between the bike lane and travel lane to improve safety in narrow areas where the road curves.  New crosswalks and ADA-compliant curb ramps will improve pedestrian safety in the area, which is near White Hill School.
