On October 27th, the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) announced the award of $383,000 grant to fund the "Green Ways to School" program organized by the Transportation Authority of Marin.  The funds will help the Marin Safe Routes to School program expand the social media presence of the Green Ways to School program. The grant was one of 17 awards totaling $33 million distributed by the MTC as part of their Climate Initiatives Program that seeks to develop innovative programs for reducing greenhouse gas emissions around the Bay Area.
