Help Build the 680 Trail This Summer! Posted: 2011-06-08 Please join us and share this information with your friends and clients! Meet up at the Marin County Open Space District's Lucas Valley field office (see directions below). Please pick the date that works best for you and RSVP with Greg Reza at greza@co.marin.ca.us or call 415-499-3778. Marin County Open Space has announced that construction will begin in a matter of weeks on a new 3-mile multiuse trail between Loma Alta and the Terre Linda Open Space Preserve. The new trail will make a great connector and provide a loop option when riding Big Rock Trail in Lucas Valley. TMT members are required to attend one day of orientation. In addition to the orientation, members will receive field training by working beside our professional trail maintenance staff. We ask each TMT member to commit to attending 6 trail events per year. Members must be at least 18 years old. No previous trail experience is necessary to join. TMT Volunteers need to fill out a volunteer application and a TMT contract, attend a 2-hour orientation and watch a Biologist training video. Directions: The Lucas Valley field office is located at 18 Jeannette Prandi Way. From Hwy 101, exit at Lucas Valley Road and head west for approximately 2 miles. Turn right on Mt. Lassen (the Big Rock Deli is on the corner) and another quick right on Jeannette Prandi Way. Follow the service road past Juvenile Hall all the way to the very end. There is plenty of parking. 680 Trail work schedule: (all Saturdays, times TBA) June 6/11/11 6/18/11 6/25/11 July 7/9/11 7/16/11 7/30/11 August 8/6/11 8/20/11
