Trail Maintenance Team Orientation June 4th

Saturday, June 4 | 10am – 12pm It’s exciting to see people having fun and enjoying Marin County’s fire road and trail system. But, the flip side of use is wear and erosion. We’re asking residents of Marin to help with trail building and restoration by becoming a member of our newest volunteer program—the Trail Maintenance Team (TMT).
Though the TMT crew will eventually work throughout the MCOSD preserve system, the program kickoffs with an exciting and big project: Building the new 680 Trail. This summer a total of nine TMT volunteer days will be available from June through August (Saturdays only).
TMT members must be 18 years or older, attend a one-day orientation, and receive field training from MCOSD’s professional Road and Trail Crew. We ask each TMT member to commit to six volunteer trail days a year. Trail days will be offered three Saturdays a month, year round. No previous trail experience is necessary. Trail work is very strenuous and suitable for physically active individuals. Contact Volunteer Coordinator Greg Reza at greza@co.marin.ca.us or (415) 499-3778.
