On Saturday, August 20th, Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition hosts its 2nd Annual Northern California Bicycle Expo from 10am - 4pm at Santa Rosa City Hall. Event staff is working hard to put together an amazing event for you. Mark your calendar now and stay up to date at their Facebook page, invite your friends by sharing this event invitation, and check their website to find out how to sign up as a vendor! In addition to all sorts of great purveyors of new, used, vintage, and custom bikes, gear, parts, clothes, and bike-inspired arts/crafts, this year's festival features The Whiskeydrome, beer by Lagunitas, fabulous food vendors, valet bike parking, and an array of incredible local bands! Be the first to know when "Big Wheeler" tickets go on sale: As a lover of bikes and a person of discerning taste, you will not want to miss the "Big Wheeler" tent. This area will feature a private beer and wine bar for Big Wheelers only, delicious food, the best and shadiest spot from which to view the music stage, and other cushy features Big Wheeler bennies. Big Wheeler tickets (SCBC members get a very special discount) will go on sale soon. If you'd like to be the first to get your hands on these, email Sandra@BikeSonoma.org and she'll notify you as soon as tickets go on sale. The day will begin at 9:00 a.m. (arrive at 8:30 for coffee and pastries!) with a Ride About Town led by SCBC Executive Director, Gary Helfrich. This is a great opportunity to meet Gary, enjoy a family-friendly ride, and to rub handlebars with elected officials and bike dignitaries from throughout Sonoma County. Get ready for the Expo: clean out your garage to make room for all the great stuff you'll pick up on August 20th! The Northern California Bicycle Expo is a benefit for Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition, and they'd love to turn your used bike(s), gear, parts, clothes, and accessories into bike lanes, bike paths, bike safety education, safe routes to school and everywhere, and increased awareness about cycling of all kinds. It's almost magic - you even get a tax deduction when you donate these items to us. Big win for all! If you'd like to give them your stuff, please contact me at Sandra@BikeSonoma.org or at 707-545-0153 and they'll arrange to receive your great stuff. Please spread the word. Thanks so much!
