Bicycles all over Marin County and the Bay Area emerged from garages yesterday to celebrate Bike to Work Day 2007. For some residents, the trip was no different from every other work day, while others dusted off pedals and handlebars for the first time this year. A good time was had by all.

The Marin IJ reports that participation increased this year, and the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition even counted more bikes than cars on Market Street yesterday morning (perhaps there were streets like this in Marin County as well).

It's not too late to join the fun--Team Bike Challenge goes until the end of the month...and of course, every day can be Bike to Work Day if you tackle your commute on two wheels.
