Picturesque Cataract Trail Hike Feb 9th

Posted: 2012-02-01

Thursday, February 9 | 10am – 3pm
Location: Mount Tam

We’ll employ a car shuttle to allow us to enjoy this spectacular trail one-way from bottom to top (yes, it really is best to hike UP this gorge in order to properly appreciate the multiple waterfalls). We’ll meet at Rock Spring and drive a few cars down to the trailhead at Alpine Dam so we can take the whole day to slowly enjoy one of Marin’s most picturesque places. Elevation gain: 1,400 feet.

This walk is for adults. We request that no animals (except service animals) attend. David Herlocker will lead. Questions: Contact David at (415) 893-9508 or dherlocker@marincounty.org. Heavy rain may cancel. Call (415) 893-9527 on the morning of the walk to hear a recorded message if cancelled. For more information, visit www.maringov.org

Directions:From Panoramic Hwy, turn up Pantoll Road. The trailhead is at the intersection of Pantoll Road and West Ridgecrest Boulevard.
