Press Room AMGEN Tour Will Visit Marin Posted: 2007-02-11 The AMGEN Tour of California, an eight-day, 650-mile bicycle stage race, will make a pit stop in Marin County this year. The tour raises funds for cancer care and treatment and features the world's top professional bicycle racing teams. This year, the race's first stage will wind from Sausalito to Santa Rosa, beginning with a climb from Mill Valley up to Mt. Tamalpais State Park. Cheering crowds enjoyed the spectacle last year, and this year you're invited to join in on Monday, February 19th.
