With more and more Marin County residents taking to bicycling, it's important to make sure that all road users know how to share the road. Local law enforcement agencies are partnering with Marin County Bicycle Coalition again to host Share the Road Checkpoints in the next few months.

Share the Road Checkpoints are chances for both motorists and cyclists to get more information about road rules, etiquette, and how everyone can best get along. At checkpoints, safety flyers are distributed to drivers and bicyclists.

Checkpoint dates and locations are:

• Saturday, July 19, 8:00 - 11:00 AM - West Marin (location to be confirmed)
• Saturday, July 19, 8:00 - 11:00 AM - Downtown Ross
• Saturday, July 26, 8:30 - 10:30 AM - San Rafael, Pt. San Pedro Rd.
• Sunday, July 26, 8:30 - 10:30 AM - Sausalito, 1000 block of Bridgeway
• Saturday, September 6, 8:00 - 11:00 AM - West Marin (location to be confirmed)
• Saturday, September 14, 8:00 - 11:00 AM - Tiburon bike path
• Saturday, September 20, 8:30 - 10:30 AM - San Anselmo, Center Blvd and San Anselmo Ave.
