Press Room New Crosswalk at Manor School in Fairfax Posted: 2008-09-10 Students at Manor School in Fairfax celebrated their first day of school with a Walk and Roll to School Day. 175 students arrived by bicycle, and walkers enjoyed a brand-new crosswalk that was installed over the summer. Supervisor Hal Brown secured funding for the crosswalk after a student was struck (fortunately uninjured) last spring in front of the school. The crosswalk leads to a pathway behind a fence and allows pedestrians and cyclists to arrive at school separate from car traffic. Press Room
