Time for International Walk and Roll to School day on 10/8

International Walk and Roll to School day is just around the corner on October 8th. Are you and your family ready?

Fun events are happening all around the county (contact laura@marinbike.org for more info). Walking school buses and bike trains will bring students and families together for a celebration in every community. 

This Saturday (October 4th) there is an event in Sausalito for families and children to help prepare for Walk and Roll to School Day. Meet at Robin Sweeny Park (by City Hall and the library) at 9:30 AM, prepared to either walk or bicycle. More info here.

The Marin County schools currently participating are: 

  • Fairfax: Manor School, Daycaring Preschool, White Hill Middle School
  • Mill Valley: Edna Maguire, Tam Valley, Old Mill, Strawberry, Mt. Tam, Park and Mill Valley Middle School
  • San Rafael: Vallecito, Dixie, Coleman, Sun Valley, Laurel Del, Mary Silviera, and Miller Creek Middle School
  • San Anselmo: Brookside Schools, upper and lower, Wade Thomas, St. Anselms, Drake High Schools, San Anselmo Preschool
  • Tiburon: Bel Aire, Reed and Del Mar Middle School
  • Corte Madera: Neil Cummins School and Lycee Francais
  • Larkspur/Kentfield: St. Patrick's, Marin Primary and Middle School, Bacich, Kent Middle School, Redwood High School, and Hall Middle School
  • West Marin: Lagunitas Schools, West Marin School
  • Novato: San Jose Middle, Rancho, Lynwood, Lu Sutton, Hamilton, Olive, Loma Verde, Pleasant Valley, and San Ramon Schools
