Press Room RTC releases Active Transportation for America report Posted: 2008-10-24 The Rails to Trails Conservancy, one of the original partners in the Nonmotorized Transportation Pilot Program, released a report this week about the future of the national Active Transportation Campaign. Together with towns, cities, and counties across the nation, the RTC is making the case to Congress that increased federal investment in walking and bicycling is needed, and will be an investment with major returns in increased health, reduced carbon emissions, increased safety, and reduced dependence on oil.
